*          Eric Braeden, Emmy Award-winning German-American film and television actor, is best known for his role as Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  A veteran of numerous films and TV shows, many may remember him as John Jacob Astor in the movie hit Titanic.

*          His latest film, The Man Who Came Back, a gripping true story of revenge from the post-Civil War period, is being released on DVD in summer 2008. 

*          Mr. Braeden has been recognized for his work as President of the German American Cultural Society.  GLOW gratefully acknowledges the support of the GLOWawards by both the Society and Mr. Braeden personally.

  • Petra Schuermann, German-born editor of the bimonthly German World Magazine, launched it in September 2002.  The only bilingual German/English magazine in the U.S., GW informs about upcoming events, historical facts, interesting people, business opportunities, and news concerning the Austrian, German and Swiss communities in North America.
  • Both publications, the website and the print magazine, strive at supporting German as a foreign language in the US.  Each issue of the print publication reaches over 100,000 readers and the website registers more than 250,000 hits and 30,000 unique visitors every month.  www.German-World.com
